Katherine holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Kent State University, with all of her degrees focused on the mental health of first responders. Her practicum was completed with the Ohio Crisis Response Service. She then founded the Ohio Small Police Department Association to strengthen communication, visibility, and support for smaller law enforcement agencies across the state. The organization created space for collaboration around funding, equipment, operational needs, and policy concerns affecting departments that are often underserved in broader statewide conversations.
